Introduction to Listening:

The main objective of this course is to discover and experience at least one meditation position that best supports the body. Sitting, standing, chair, supine positions, and variations will be presented, and practiced (where possible). During each session, we will also meditate for 20 minutes, followed by a discussion of sensations, challenges, and perceptions. Speaking in the discussion is voluntary. No prior meditation experience is needed. 


The course is free and happens at 1716 1/2 Tenth Street in Berkeley every Saturday from 10-11AM. This course is six weeks long. Attendance for six consecutive Saturday morning sessions is recommended, but not necessary. Those who complete six sessions are eligible to attend the school’s weekly Practice Night.

While the organization is not affiliated with any religions or traditions, we cultivate a forgiving environment that encourages self-care, and respects all religions, races, cultures, ages, and gender identities. Practice Night

These sessions are also free and available to all who complete the Introduction to Listening Course. It is held at the same location on Wednesdays 8-9PM, and consists of a 20 minute meditation, followed by a discussion group.
